To gain your full motorcycle licence you have to pass the following tests:

Theory and hazard perception

This test consists of 50 multiple choice questions based on the highway code and 14 video clips, where you have to pick out the developing hazard. The pass mark for theory is 43 out of 50 and for the hazard perception it is 44 out of 75. You will be allowed 57 minutes to complete the test. You must pass both sections to gain your motorcycle theory test pass certificate.

It is advisable to practice the questions and hazard perception, before taking your test. You can do this online at direct.gov.uk/drivingtest or by purchasing the theory and hazard perception book or dvd.

Module 1

This test consists of 11 manoeuvres, which are carried out at the dsa multi purpose centre. The test takes around 20 minutes to complete. You will be able to practice all the manoeuvres with our instructors at our large traiing site. We can also book training slots at the test centre for you to practice and see the layout of the test before taking your module 1 test.

Module 2

This is the on road section of your test and takes around 40 minutes to complete. During this test, you will have an eyesight test, safety and balance questions, road ride section and independent riding section.
